An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Nurse to become part of a dedicated and highly skilled team with one of the most unique caseloads available. This permanent role involves providing expert care to a wide variety of wildlife patients in state-of-the-art facilities.
This position is perfect for someone with strong clinical skills, enthusiasm for teamwork, and a passion for animal welfare. Full training will be provided to ensure confidence in delivering outstanding care and treatment to support the exotic caseload.

Key Responsibilities
• Providing clinical care and treatment for patients under the guidance of the Head Nurses.
• Supporting surgical and medical procedures, including anaesthetic monitoring and x-ray responsibilities, adhering to safety protocols.
• Assisting with rescues and releases as required.
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of medical and residential areas, meeting high standards.
• Offering advice, training, and support to students and volunteers.
• Participating in laboratory diagnostics to aid patient care.
• Managing medical stock levels and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Contributing to a safe workplace through adherence to health, safety, and security procedures.
• Carrying out additional tasks aligned with the role's scope as required.

Person Specification
Essential:
• Qualified Veterinary Nurse or equivalent experience.
• Confident in performing Schedule 3 procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
• Calm under pressure, particularly in emergencies.
• Effective communicator across all levels of the organisation.

Desirable:
• Full valid driving licence.
• Strength and agility to handle wildlife patients safely (training provided).
