Part Time Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Telford, Shropshire
A well-established veterinary practice in Telford, Shropshire is seeking a Part Time Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its friendly and compassionate team on a permanent basis. Applications for full-time hours will also be considered depending on candidate availability.

About the Practice
The practice offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services and facilities, including:
- Nurse clinics and dental procedures
- ECG and in-house laboratory
- Orthopaedic theatre
- Ultrasound and X-ray
The team is supported by an experienced leadership structure, including an Operational Support Manager, Lead Vet, and Head RVN, alongside a skilled veterinary and nursing team dedicated to clinical excellence.
The Role
- Hours: Minimum 32 hours per week (3 days)
- Weekends: 1 in 6 at a sister 24-hour hospital
- On-call: 1 week per year
- Bank Holidays: 1 per year
Salary: Starting from £24,400 per year (part-time, pro rata depending on hours and experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient and client care at all times
- Support surgical procedures, including all pre- and post-operative care
- Conduct nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures
- Monitor patients and provide high-quality inpatient care
- Manage admissions and discharges in collaboration with the veterinary team
- Coordinate patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care
- Dispense and check medications accurately
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards
- Support team coordination through briefings and effective communication
Candidate Requirements
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
- Proven experience delivering high standards of patient and client care
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Experience supporting nurse consultations and understanding their impact on practice performance
- Confident communication, coaching, and influencing skills
