We have a wonderful opportunity for a Veterinary Nurse to join an independent practice in Fife, conveniently located approximately 45 minutes from Edinburgh to the South and Dundee to the North. The practice is nestled by the Lomond Hills Regional Park, offering delightful opportunities for hill walking, and a short journey away from the captivating beaches of Aberdour and St Andrews, ideal for those who appreciate the coastal beauty.
You will become a valued member of a close-knit, supportive team dedicated to mutual care. Currently, the practice employs 4 full-time and 3 part-time veterinary surgeons who handle a diverse caseload of both surgical and medical cases. They are backed by a strong team of nurses and support staff, including 3 skilled receptionists.
Your responsibilities will include patient care, theatre duties, assisting in surgical and non-surgical procedures, nursing consultations, dispensary work, maintaining the clinical areas of the practice, stock ordering, and some reception duties. Additionally, nurses have the opportunity to run their own consults, including appointments for nail clips, weight clinics, repeat injections, and parasite checks. The practice is committed to nurturing special interests and expanding our service offerings.

The ideal candidate should be a confident and adaptable nurse with broad experience in all aspects of the role. Teamwork is paramount, as you will be part of a small team where communication is crucial. Your passion for delivering exceptional care to patients and clients is essential. Given the on-call duties, the successful candidate must possess a full driving license and access to their own transport.
The Role:
• Full Time role - 37.5 hour week
• 1:4 on-call weekend rota and 1 weeknight on-call
• The on-call nurses are required to assist the vet on call and over time rates are paid for call outs. Over the week you will work 3 shifts 8.30am until 5pm, 1 shift 8.30 to 1pm and 1 shift 8.30 until 6.30pm. The weekend on-call includes 1 Saturday shift 10.00am until 4pm
