Purovets are looking for a registered or Final year Student Nurse to join a fantastic independent practice. They are a well-established independent veterinary practice located in North Yorkshire. As a family-run practice, they are dedicated to providing an excellent standard of care to pets, farm animals, and horses. With a team of over twenty Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Veterinary Nurses, and experienced support staff, they offer a comprehensive 24-hour service.
Due to their expanding practice, they are currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or soon-to-qualify veterinary nurse student to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing top-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
•Prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist in the operating theatre.
•Follow up with owners before and after operations to provide updates and guidance.
•Educate pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and vaccinations.
•Administer treatments and offer support in restraining animals when necessary.
•Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of medical equipment, surgical theatres, and consultation areas.
Qualifications:
•Experience in veterinary nursing is essential for this role.
•RVN certification is preferred, but soon-to-qualify nurses are encouraged to apply.
•A positive and pro-active attitude to work effectively within our well-established and successful team.
The role:
•Fulltime role over 5 days a week.
•Willingness to participate in the out-of-hours duty rota (1 in 5 weeknights on call, 1 weekend in 5 on call, and 1 in 5 Saturday mornings only on reception).
