We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Ward Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a team at a well-established, RCVS accredited small animal hospital located in the charming market town of Dewsbury. Nestled with excellent transport links to major cities such as Bradford and Leeds, this location provides an ideal setting for both work and living.

Our client boasts a rich history of delivering expert animal care and currently operates eight veterinary practices across South and West Yorkshire, including a state-of-the-art, RCVS accredited veterinary hospital. Equipped with the latest facilities and cutting-edge equipment, such as Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, Dentistry, CT Scanner, Hydrotherapy, Endoscopy, and an In-house laboratory, they are committed to providing top-notch care to patients.

As a Ward Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in in-patient hospital-based nursing. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive patient care across various wards (cat/dog/isolation/ICU/exotic/wildlife), conducting effective ward rounds and handovers, maintaining open communication with clients, and collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless flow of patients between disciplines.

To thrive in this role, candidates must have a passion for working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of like-minded professionals. While previous hospital experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory, as their highly experienced team provides comprehensive training. Candidates must have at least 12 months post qualification experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task with a flexible approach to working are essential.
