Our client, a vibrant small animal first opinion practice located in the centre of Newmarket, Suffolk, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team as Clinical Nursing Manager. This role is a 12-month maternity cover, offering a unique opportunity to lead a skilled and passionate team during a key period of development for the practice.
This busy RCVS accredited practice is home to a close-knit team of 7 RVNs, 4 Veterinary Surgeons, and 5 Client Care professionals, who work together with in-house specialists including a cardiologist, ophthalmologist, and orthopaedic surgeon. The practice is equipped with advanced facilities such as X-ray, Ultrasound, Endoscope, an In-house laboratory, and top-tier surgical suites. A full refurbishment is planned, with completion expected in early 2025, ensuring the practice remains at the forefront of veterinary care.
As Clinical Nursing Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence. You will provide strategic, professional, and operational leadership to the nursing team, ensuring that the practice continues to deliver outstanding care to both patients and clients. Your role will involve managing the nursing team, representing the nursing perspective at a senior level, and working closely with the Clinical Director, Practice Manager, and Regional Nursing Manager.

The Rota:
• 12 month Fixed Term Contract starting September 2024
• Full Time Role - 40 hour week
• Full time shifts are 7am - 1pm, 7.30am - 4.30pm, 9.30am - 6.30pm, 12pm - 9pm
• 1:7 on call weekend rota
