EMERGENCY VETERINARIAN – DVM
Florida | Lake Nona & Ocoee
$170,000–$200,000 Base Salary + Monthly Production Bonus
A leading 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital in Central Florida is seeking experienced Emergency Veterinarians (DVMs) to join its growing team.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING
The hospital recognises that ER veterinarians value flexibility and work-life balance.
Full-time: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
Part-time: 2 × 12-hour shifts per week
Day and night shifts available, with flexibility around rota patterns.
Different scheduling arrangements can be discussed.
THE ROLE
You'll provide emergency and urgent care for dogs and cats in a busy 24/7 emergency setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and treating emergency cases
- Performing examinations and patient assessments
- Stabilising critical patients
- Managing urgent surgical cases
- Using modern diagnostic equipment including X-ray, ultrasound and laboratory services
- Working closely with veterinary technicians and support staff
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Staying current with emergency medicine best practices
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will have:
- A DVM/VMD degree and appropriate US veterinary licensure
- At least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience
- 2+ years of emergency/ER experience preferred
- Strong clinical, diagnostic and surgical skills
- Confidence managing emergency and critical patients
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- A compassionate approach to clients and their pets
- A strong team-oriented mindset
