Are you a confident individual ready to take the next step in your veterinary career? Purovets has an exceptional opportunity for you.
Our client, a RCVS accredited small animal hospital, is located in the desirable city of Norwich, Norfolk. Known as the most complete medieval city in the UK, Norwich boasts a stunning Norman Cathedral and Castle, a thriving arts, music, and cultural scene, excellent shopping, a quaint covered market, vibrant restaurants, bars, and nightlife, and a rich heritage waiting to be explored.
Our client is seeking a confident, first-opinion Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team. This flexible role allows you to tailor your responsibilities to your interests and will involve consultations, routine surgeries, and dental work. It is ideally suited for someone with sufficient clinical experience to work comfortably in a sole-charge capacity.
You will be joining a dedicated support staff, including Receptionists, Animal Nursing Assistants, and Registered Veterinary Nurses. Additionally, you will have full support from a sister hospital offering comprehensive services such as out-of-hours care, hospitalisation, ultrasound, endoscopy, orthopaedics, laparoscopic surgery, and more, with certificate holders in all these disciplines.
The practice features a rehabilitation service with a treadmill hydrotherapy unit and in-house physiotherapists, as well as a RVN-led 'Cat Hotel'. The successful candidate will oversee these additional services, ensuring excellent service for clients across all practice areas.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can mentor staff, fostering a thriving practice environment. You will liaise effectively with their sister hospital for complex cases requiring further treatment, investigations, hospitalisation, and overnight care. While previous management or leadership experience is not required, the successful candidate must be enthusiastic, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic. A passion for building client and pet relationships is essential.
If you are ready to take the next step in your veterinary career and join a supportive and dynamic team in a vibrant city, we would love to hear from you.
