An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing, independent small animal practice that has quickly established a strong reputation within its local community.
This role would suit a vet who enjoys a varied caseload, values continuity of care, and thrives in a supportive environment where collaboration and professional development are genuinely encouraged.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting 20-minute consultations, ensuring patients and clients receive the time and attention they deserve.
- Managing a balanced caseload of consultations and surgery.
- Providing continuity of care by working cases through from diagnosis to treatment.
- Participating in a fair and predictable 1 in 3 Saturday rota.
- Exercising clinical freedom without restrictive targets or KPI-driven pressures.
- Developing clinical interests in areas such as dentistry, imaging, medicine, or other specialist fields.
The Practice
The successful candidate will join a friendly and approachable team consisting of an experienced Lead Vet, dedicated nursing staff, and a growing support team.

Candidate Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- MRCVS registration (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Confidence with routine consultations and surgical procedures.
- Ability to work sole charge during weekends and occasional weekdays.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- A proactive attitude and team-focused approach.
Benefits
- Salary up to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience.
- Based on 20–30 hours per week.
- £1,500 CPD allowance plus 5 days CPD leave (pro rata).
- RCVS and VDS fees paid.
- 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata).
