Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse - Maternity Cover
Location: Meath, Ireland
Job Description:
- Full/part-time Maternity cover - possibility for permanent
- 8.30-6.30 - No OOH
- 1:3 Saturdays 9-5
- Up to €18/h - commensurate with experience
- CPD and VCI paid
A well-established, fast-paced, veterinary practice are looking for an experienced RVN to join their compassionate and supportive team. They've got a large team of 7 vets and 6 nurses, plus their lovely support team, all dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care for both small and large animals. The practice has since a few years opened a second branch, dedicated to small animals which is fully equipped and ready to take patients from first greet to diagnosis to treatment - all under the same roof.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in the diagnosis and treatment of animals
- Provide nursing care to inpatients and outpatients
- Perform diagnostic tests and imaging
- Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgical procedures
- Conduct routine health checks
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in the on-call rota as required
Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification
- Experience in both small and large animal veterinary nursing (ideally)
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and dedicated to animal care
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to cover shifts as needed
