An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a truly independent group of practices based in the vibrant North East of England. With over a century of service to the community, this well-established, mixed veterinary group has grown to include eight branches across the region. Staffed by a committed team of vets, nurses, and receptionists, they offer a wealth of experience, expertise, and compassionate care to both clients and patients alike.
This role would suit an enthusiastic and empathetic nurse who excels at building strong client relationships and enjoys working collaboratively within a close-knit team. The successful candidate will be confident in their abilities, capable of working independently, and happy to contribute to the smooth running of all clinical areas. You’ll be joining a supportive environment where no two days are the same, with a diverse and rewarding caseload and access to excellent facilities, including in-house diagnostics, laboratory equipment, and 24-hour hospital care available every day of the year.
As a recognised training practice, there are plenty of opportunities for career development and supported CPD, alongside the chance to mentor and support student veterinary nurses. This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is key, as you may be required to work across any of the seven branches and the hospital site, so your own transport is essential. Weekend, night, and bank holiday cover is shared across the team on a rota basis.
If you're seeking a fresh challenge in a friendly, progressive practice where your skills and passion will be valued and nurtured, we’d love to hear from you.
The Package:
- Competitive salary adjusted depending on the level of experience
- 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, which increases with every 5 years of continued service
- 1 additional day holiday for your birthday, following 1 year of continued service
- CPD actively encouraged and supported
- Staff discount scheme following successful completion of probationary period
