A RCVS accredited; independent mixed veterinary hospital is looking for a Night Veterinary Nurse on a permanent Part time basis the rota is 2 on 14 off working from 7pm - 8am. The hospital is situated in historic market town in Northamptonshire, known for its charming architecture.
This Small Animal hospital has attained Tier Three status and includes the hospital plus 2 smaller sites. They are a Gold Standard Cat Friendly clinic, offering separate dog and cat waiting areas and ward facilities. They offer laparoscopy, endoscopy, orthopaedic work and have an extensive in-house lab, ultrasound and digital x-ray equipment. The lab facilities include Milab/Vetscan and bacterial culture testing, and you will be trained to use this equipment.
You will be joining a dedicated team of veterinary surgeons, vet nurses, receptionists, and support staff with decades of experience between them. This friendly team are dedicated to delivering great service with a personal touch. They have two surgery certificate holders and one medicine certificate holder and therefore you will have the opportunity to work cases up to the highest degree.
You will be part of a dedicated night nursing team who work at the main hospital site, monitoring and caring for the inpatients through the night and assisting the duty vet with any emergencies arising out of hours.
Our client is looking for a self-motivated and productive RVN who is confident with lone working and emergency medicine. You will be passionate about animal care, organised and proactive to ensure you achieve the required tasks without close supervision. Communication skills are also key, as well as enthusiasm and resilience.
