- 50/50 caseload
- VDS, VCI and CPD paid
This friendly practice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate RVN to join their mixed practice in Sligo, Ireland. The position offers a unique opportunity to work with both large and small animals, providing comprehensive veterinary care and support in a dynamic and supportive environment. The practice is ideally seeking someone with experience, however encourage all to apply as training is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in all aspects of animal care, including medical treatments, surgeries, and emergency procedures.
- Provide high-quality nursing care.
- Reception and administration duties.
- Monitor and record the condition of animals under treatment and report any changes to the veterinarian.
- Prepare and maintain surgical areas, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Maintain clean and organized work environments, including examination rooms, kennels, and surgical areas.
- Provide compassionate and professional customer service to clients, addressing any concerns and providing information as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).
- Experience in small animal practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and on-call rotations.
