Veterinary Surgeon Job Opportunity – Independent Small Animal Practice – Aberdare, South Wales
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established independent small animal practice in Aberdare. This family-run veterinary practice is known for delivering exceptional patient care while fostering a genuinely supportive and positive working environment with an excellent work-life balance.
This is an ideal role for a Veterinary Surgeon seeking clinical freedom, a collaborative team culture, and the opportunity to work within a progressive independent practice free from corporate pressures and sales targets.
The Practice
The practice is fully equipped with modern facilities and provides a varied caseload, including both medical and surgical cases. Facilities include:
- Two spacious consult rooms
- Dedicated theatre with multi-parameter monitoring
- Digital X-ray on site
- In-house laboratory
- Ultrasound facilities
- Soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
- Routine procedures including midline spays
- Day patients transferred to a trusted local independent hospital for out-of-hours care
The successful candidate will join a friendly and experienced team consisting of:
- The Practice Owner and Head Veterinary Surgeon
- Two dedicated RVNs
- One ACA
- A welcoming and highly supportive receptionist team
The Role
The practice is seeking a confident and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon with at least 2 years’ UK small animal experience. The ideal candidate will enjoy building strong client relationships, working collaboratively with colleagues, and delivering high standards of patient care.
Both full-time and part-time applications are welcomed, with flexible working arrangements considered for the right candidate.
