The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a GP Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established and progressive small animal practice in County Durham. This role would suit a friendly, motivated vet looking to work in a supportive environment where clinical standards, team wellbeing, and professional development are genuinely prioritised.
The practice welcomes veterinary surgeons with additional interests or qualifications in areas such as Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, or other disciplines, although these are not essential. Whether the successful candidate is looking to further develop an existing interest, pursue a certificate, or simply enjoy a rewarding GP caseload with a healthier work-life balance, they will be fully supported.
The successful Veterinary Surgeon will work alongside an experienced and collaborative team, including certificate holders in surgery, imaging, and medicine, within a modern, well-equipped practice. Advanced facilities are available to support excellent patient care, including an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy equipment, laparoscopic equipment, and a CT scanner pending installation.

The practice is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon who is:
- MRCVS registered
- Passionate about delivering outstanding patient and client care
- Comfortable with routine consultations and general practice surgery

- Keen to continue learning and developing professionally
Veterinary Surgeons with additional clinical interests are encouraged to apply, although strong GP vets looking for a supportive environment will be equally welcomed.
