Purovets are currently recruiting for a fantastic, independent ISFM Silver Cat-friendly practice based in a beautiful market town in Derbyshire within the Peak District.
The practice boasts fantastic facilities such as full lab equipment, ultrasound, digital x ray and much more. They have just unpacked a brand-new class 4 laser and endoscope. The practice is split over 2 branches along with a 9 vet team. All the vets have their own particular interests which the practice thoroughly support. 1 Vet has just gained a CertSAM and another who is currently doing an imaging Certificate. They benefit from an orthopaedic visiting specialist and their own fantastic diagnostic set up.
The practice encourages all levels of experience from new grads to experienced vets. There is tonnes of support available for less experienced Vets, with a VetGDP they can shadow and chat through cases with. They are looking for a full time vet, however, they are happy to consider part time applicants as well.

Full-time vets work a 4-day week, with an equal share of operating (9-7), second ops (8-4), and consulting (9-6) shifts, giving you plenty of opportunity to practice your skills and expand your knowledge with the support of the team.
Out-of-hours emergencies are outsourced to Vets Now. They do look after inpatients and the RVNs are responsible for the inpatient checks and care. This means you can be on-call for inpatients from home, which is just one weeknight per week and only 1:6 weekends, including the only Saturday morning consults in the rota (9-1). The phones go over to VetsNow at 7 p.m. during the week and at 1 p.m. on Saturdays, so if there are no inpatients at the end of your shift, you are free to make other plans for the rest of the weekend. The rota is planned so that your days off following your weekend fall on Friday and the following Monday, giving you a long weekend off, plus no inpatient care the following week either.
You will be working in Glossop, a lovely market town in the Peak District. It is a great place to live and work, with plenty of independent shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants to enjoy. It is an excellent base for exploring some of the Peak District's classic walking country, including Black Hill, Bleaklow, Kinder Scout and the Longdendale Valley. There is easy access to Sheffield, and you can reach central Manchester in 30 minutes by train. There are also two international airports, Manchester and Liverpool, within an hour's drive of the practice - perfect for easy access to a long weekend getaway.
