Veterinary Surgeon - Oban

• Fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon role at a RCVS accredited mixed animal practice in the picturesque town of Oban
• Working alongside an experienced team of Veterinary staff including one who specialises in Acupuncture and a certificate holder in Diagnostic Imaging

Join a reputable RCVS accredited mixed animal practice nestled in the stunning resort town of Oban. Our client is looking for either a mixed or small animal veterinary surgeon to join their team. Caseloads vary and they see some orthopaedics, medicine cases, dentals, soft tissue surgery to name a few.

Situated in the scenic rural landscape of Argyll on the west coast of Scotland, Oban presents an ideal location for both work and leisure. Its proximity to the highlands and islands caters well to the outdoor enthusiast.

The team prides itself on delivering an exceptional standard of care, boasting a cohesive group of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, among whom one specialises in Acupuncture and another holds a Certificate in Diagnostic Imaging. Complemented by Vets pursuing Certificates in Behaviour and Cardiology, the team is further supported by 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses. This vibrant team thrives on a culture of friendliness and spirited camaraderie.

Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including a fully furnished theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. The practice is mixed, with 90% Small Animal and the remaining 10% made up of Farm and Equine work.

This role welcomes candidates of all experience levels, extending its invitation even to recent graduates, as comprehensive support will be provided. The ideal candidate embodies enthusiasm, passion, patience, and a compassionate nature, with a keen interest in fostering and expanding the practice's reach.

• Full time - offering a good work/life balance
• Part time applications will be considered
