A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-equipped practice in beautiful Shropshire!

This modern clinic boasts excellent facilities including K-Laser therapy, separate dog and cat waiting areas and kennels, advanced ultrasonography, and a full complement of lab equipment featuring an Imagyst digital imaging system. Additional cutting edge resources such as CT, endoscopy, dental x-ray, and hydro/physiotherapy services ensure pets receive the very best care. The practice benefits from close links to a nearby 24 hour hospital that covers out-of-hours provision and accepts referral cases, offering exceptional support and collaboration.

The friendly and supportive team includes two experienced vets, four RVNs, two SVNs, and two dedicated client care assistants. This role requires an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon who is confident in delivering exceptional patient and client care while working effectively within a team. Candidates should be able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills and have experience fostering a progressive clinical culture through nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, understanding how these contribute to clinic performance and efficiency. Strong coaching and influencing skills to inspire colleagues and enhance team performance are essential.

Key responsibilities include delivering outstanding clinical care during consultations and procedures, providing clear and compassionate communication with clients, and preparing tailored treatment and care plans with accurate cost estimates. The successful candidate will engage and mentor their team, promoting best clinical practice while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and operational standards. Managing clinical handover and arranging patient transfers for out-of-hours or advanced care will also be part of this exciting role.
