A well-established 24-hour small animal hospital in South East London is offering an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team.

Located in a sought-after town in South East London, our client operates a thriving six-vet hospital with a dedicated night team responsible for managing all out-of-hours care for the region. They have been providing expert veterinary care since 1968 and have achieved small animal hospital status accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

The practice is well-equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray machines. They boast surgical facilities equipped with laparoscopy and orthopaedic equipment, gastroscope, bronchoscope, and an array of emergency equipment. Additionally, they have two operating theatres, three consultation rooms, a separate dental room, and cat/dog wards. They also offer Virtual Veterinary Service (VVS) support for cardiology and abdominal ultrasounds, complete with a live camera feed for specialist consultations.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside a fantastic nursing and support team that includes a Practice Manager, Head Nurse, RVNs, SVNs, and a dedicated Reception team. At the practice, they foster a friendly and collaborative environment, constantly reviewing and improving protocols. Their loyal client base values the personal and exceptional standard of care they provide.

As a Veterinary Surgeon you will work closely with an experienced team. This role is ideal for a skilled all-rounder who is confident in conducting consultations and routine surgeries.

The Rota:
• Full time role - 4 day week
• Weekend rota: 1:6 full or 1:3 half weekends

• Competitive salary - up to £55,000 DOE
• 5 weeks' annual leave
• 4 weeks' paid sabbatical (after each 5 years of service)
• CPD Allowance £1,500 plus 3 days CPD leave
• RCVS, BVA and VDS fees paid
• Vehicle allowance or Company Vehicle
