The Opportunity

An established independent small animal veterinary practice in a picturesque Wiltshire market town is looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join its experienced and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a vet seeking a high-quality clinical environment alongside genuine flexibility and a healthy work-life balance. The practice has been part of the local community since 1897 and combines a long-standing reputation with modern facilities and a progressive approach to veterinary care.

You’ll be joining a collaborative team where clinical discussion, knowledge sharing and professional development are actively encouraged. The practice includes experienced clinicians and certificate holders, providing a strong network of support for both day-to-day cases and more complex work.

Facilities include:

  • Two fully equipped sterile operating theatres
  • Advanced diagnostic imaging, including endoscopy, digital X-ray and ultrasound with cardiac probe
  • Dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray
  • Fully equipped in-house laboratory
  • Separate cat, dog and isolation wards
  • Large meeting and training area for CPD, clinical discussions and team development

The location offers the best of both worlds: a beautiful rural setting close to Salisbury Plain and the North Wessex Downs, while providing convenient access to Bath, Bristol and the M4 corridor.
