Our client, an RCVS accredited small animal hospital, is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and team-oriented Clinical Director/Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. Located in a popular industrial town in Lincoln, surrounded by rolling countryside and picturesque villages, this fantastic area offers a great place to settle with some of the most desirable residential addresses in the county.
This role involves consultations, surgery, dentistry, work-ups, and in-patient care. Additionally, you will fully support the hospital team from a clinical perspective, upskilling and mentoring the vets and nurses. With an experienced team managing the operational side of the practice, you can concentrate on what you do best.
The hospital boasts excellent onsite facilities, including dedicated dog, cat, and exotic wards, two theatres, an on-site laboratory, Digital X-ray suite, Bucky table and grid, dedicated dental theatre, dental radiography, Mylab ultrasound with abdominal and cardiac probes, laparoscopic equipment, endoscope and bronchoscope, a range of orthopaedic kit, electrocautery and cryotherapy, and air-conditioning throughout.
The team prides itself on practicing gold standard medicine and surgery. They have several certificate holders within the team, and their Head Nurse holds a Diploma. Their senior vets (vet GDP advisors) are happy to mentor and discuss cases as needed. Regular team meetings ensure good communication, allowing for case discussions and process improvements in a blame-free environment, actively encouraging continuous development and improvement. Our client will fully support your exploration of any clinical interests through continuous professional development and will assist with team support and mentorship.
The ideal candidate will be a member of the RCVS with good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to provide gold standard service. You will need to have people management experience, including conducting appraisals and one-on-ones, and be a reliable team player. The Rota:
• Full time role - 4 day week with an average of 40 hours
• Saturday morning rota
• No OOH
• No Bank holidays or Sundays
