Equine Veterinary Surgeon – Sports Medicine
Cork, Dublin & Belfast | Up to £70,000 | Full-time
A leading equine performance medicine group is seeking a progressive Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join its growing sports medicine and lameness team. This specialist role focuses exclusively on high-performance sport horses, working alongside leading riders, trainers and performance professionals.

The Opportunity
This is not a routine ambulatory or first-opinion role. The successful Equine Veterinary Surgeon will manage advanced lameness, sports medicine, rehabilitation and performance cases across the Cork, Dublin and Belfast areas.
An experienced Office Manager will manage and pre-arrange the diary, with visits efficiently grouped by geographical area. An accountant also handles invoicing and paperwork, allowing the veterinary team to focus on clinical work and client care.
The successful candidate will work as part of a two-vet sports medicine team, becoming the third member as the group continues to grow. There are opportunities to develop specialist interests, attend educational events, work with leading performance teams and become involved in international travel and industry activities.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon eligible to practise in Ireland
- Minimum 2 years' equine sports medicine experience
- Strong interest in lameness, orthopaedics, rehabilitation and performance horse medicine
- Sport horse experience preferred
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Willing to travel across Ireland
- RCVS registration preferred
