They are expanding their team and looking for another experienced vet to support and lead their fantastic veterinary team. Their Lead Veterinary Surgeons are responsible for line management of the vet team, maintaining high standards of patient and client care and optimising the uptake of clinical services. The Lead Veterinary Surgeon will work closely with and assist the Clinical Director to provide leadership, training, and development of the vet team in addition to providing guidance and support to the nursing and client care team. The position will include half a day per week of protected non-clinical time to perform these additional responsibilities.

Currently operating across a 24-hour, Tier 3 hospital and 5 smaller branch surgeries, this practice is well equipped to provide a vast array of veterinary treatments to their loyal customer base. The existing team is experienced, dedicated and extremely competent. The practice is currently home to several certificate holders operating across a variety of clinical disciplines including Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Dermatology and Diagnostic imaging, with Advanced Practitioners in Medicine and Surgery. meaning no matter what your area of interest you will find a kindred clinical spirit within their ranks giving you a fantastic opportunity to grow and continue your professional development.

Across their six sites, the practice boasts an enviable range of the latest veterinary equipment and technology meaning you will have all the tools at your disposal to practice in accordance with the highest clinical standards. Facilities include digital X-Ray, Ultrasound, EC, In-house lab, Endoscopy, dental suite, intensive care facilities, Hydrotherapy, separate dog and cat wards and much more!

Role:

  • Salary from £60,000 DOE
  • 4 days a week, 9 hour days
  • 1 in 4 weekends
  • No OOH's or in-patient checks as they have their own dedicated night team
  • The choice of working at the hospital site or branch sites or a mixture of both
  • Consulting only options are also available if preferred
