A 100% Small animal friendly independent RCVS accredited practice in the Tiverton area who are currently undergoing some exciting changes are looking to expand their 3 Vet team to 4, introducing a new OOHs team to their ranks. Recently they've seen such a spark in popularity and an extremely committed team that they're actually in the process of moving the premises as their equipments and client base are just getting bigger and better!
Because the practice is expanding and moving to new premisses whoever comes on board will get the chance to help shape the development! Equipment includes digital x-ray, in house lab, ultrasound, Laparoscopy and a range of anaesthetic, medicines, machines and monitors so plenty of procedures and apparatus to get your teeth stuck into with a lot of room for clinical freedom. Due to the vast amounts of modern facilities and the highly skilled team they are well enough equipped to perform all routine surgical procedures on site, and frequently accommodate a number of orthopaedic surgeons who come into the practice to perform more advanced procedures. The large purpose -built theatre is used for all routine surgical procedures such as neutering , lump removals, exploratory laparotomy and wound reconstruction!
As a caring team they work together with the sole aim of providing first class 24/7 care for its patients, creating a caring, family feel atmosphere to make both clients and staff alike feel right at home.
The Role:
Looking for F/T vet to work a 4 days a week (40 hours).
Do their own OOHs which is currently on a 1 in 4 rota
Staff get a % of the OOHs cases that they see.
The Candidate:
The practice will support a new grad but overall a Small Animal Vet with a chunk of experience, someone who is capable of confident in general surgeries and consults would be ideal.
Perks:
Salary between £32 + £50k
CPD = £1,500
4 weeks plus bank holidays off
