An exciting opportunity is available for a Part-Time Emergency Veterinarian to join a highly successful, independent veterinary company as it opens its first practice in Texas.

Located in Arlington, Texas, this new 24/7 emergency animal hospital offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced ER veterinarian to join the team from the ground up and help shape the clinical culture of a brand-new facility.

The Role

The Emergency Veterinarian will provide high-quality emergency and urgent care to dogs and cats, managing a varied caseload from initial assessment through stabilization, treatment and ongoing care.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing comprehensive emergency examinations and diagnostics
  • Diagnosing and treating urgent and critical cases
  • Stabilizing emergency patients and performing urgent surgical procedures when required
  • Utilizing modern digital radiography, ultrasound and in-house laboratory diagnostics
  • Working closely with veterinary technicians and support staff
  • Communicating clearly and compassionately with pet owners during stressful situations
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and clinical documentation
  • Staying current with developments and best practices in emergency veterinary medicine

The Hospital & Team

The purpose-built emergency and critical care facility has been designed around efficient patient flow, rapid decision-making and high standards of patient safety.

The hospital will provide dedicated treatment, monitoring and hospitalization areas alongside well-equipped surgical facilities and modern diagnostic capabilities.

The Emergency Veterinarian will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of veterinarians, veterinary technicians and support staff, with experienced clinicians available for collaboration, guidance and second opinions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of emergency/ER veterinary experience preferred
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic and surgical skills
  • Confidence managing emergency and critical cases

  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • A collaborative, empathetic approach to patient care
  • A commitment to evidence-based medicine and ongoing learning
