An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior veterinary surgeon to join a well-established, RCVS-accredited small animal clinic in a vibrant market town in South London. This sought-after role is perfect for a confident veterinary surgeon ready to take the reins in a practice known for its exceptional standards of patient and client care.
Located in one of the top 10 coolest neighbourhoods in the world, as ranked by Lonely Planet, this bustling town offers a fantastic lifestyle with excellent transport links via the Northern Line. The clinic itself has been a staple in the local community for many years, with a loyal client base that values the practice’s high level of care and dedication.
As part of a leading veterinary group celebrating 70 years of excellence, you will be joining a network that includes 46 branches, three hospitals, and a dedicated nurse training college. The ideal candidate will be confident in general practice, comfortable performing routine surgeries, and enthusiastic about working within a close-knit and passionate team.
The practice is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including blood testing, x-rays, and ultrasound. On challenging days, you will have the support of like-minded colleagues and an experienced team, including a senior RVN, part-time RVN, trainee nurses, a dedicated regional manager, and a regional head vet with a wealth of knowledge to share. Additionally, the nearby 24-hour hospital provides further support, ensuring you have access to expert advice and assistance with complex cases.
The role offers a balanced and flexible working pattern, with a rota of three 8:30 am-6:30 pm days and one shorter 8:30 am-4:30 pm day. There is a 1:3 branch Saturday morning rotation and a 1:10 Sunday rotation at the sister hospital, plus just one bank holiday per year. Importantly, there are no on-call requirements, allowing for a great work-life balance.
