An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vet to join a fantastic RCVS-accredited Veterinary Hospital in the vibrant city of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This well-established, single-site practice is dedicated to delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare to beloved pets and is now looking for a confident Small Animal Vet to become part of their multi-vet primary care team. With a varied caseload, you will enjoy a balanced mix of consultations and surgical procedures every day.
You will be joining a friendly and highly skilled team of 8.5 FTE Vets, including Advanced Practitioners in Veterinary Dermatology, Small Animal Medicine, and Feline Medicine, as well as three surgery certificate holders. The exceptional Vet team is supported by an outstanding nursing and client care team, with several members holding additional qualifications. The practice encourages professional development and welcomes discussions around individual interests and further certification. They are also proud to work closely with the RSPCA, overseeing welfare cases and making a real impact in the local community.

The hospital itself is well-equipped with four spacious consulting rooms, two operating theatres, separate cat, dog, and isolation wards, and dedicated imaging and dental suites. The practice boasts an in-house laboratory, digital and dental x-ray, and all the modern diagnostic and surgical equipment you would expect from a high-quality RCVS Hospital practice.
This full-time role operates over a four-day working week, with a fair 1:7 weekend rota. Inpatients are cared for on-site, while an external service handles emergencies from 9 pm onwards.
