Are you an experienced and driven Veterinary Surgeon seeking your next challenge in a forward-thinking, supportive environment?

My client is looking for a confident and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join their progressive, well-established veterinary hospital in Waterford City. This is a full-time, permanent role—an exciting opportunity for a clinician ready to take on a senior position with clinical autonomy and responsibility.

The Role
As a senior member of the veterinary team, your responsibilities will include:
• Clinical decision-making and case management
• Mentoring and supporting junior veterinary staff
• Sole charge responsibilities with full clinical autonomy
• A varied caseload including consultations, diagnostics, and soft tissue surgery (both routine and emergency)

You’ll be working within a collaborative and experienced team that values continuous learning and mutual support.

Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must:
• Be a VCI Registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in general practice
• Be confident and competent in routine surgeries and diagnostics
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have a genuine passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate care

Please note: This position is not suitable for new graduates or junior vets requiring regular supervision.
