Purovets is excited to announce a rare opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join an independent, super-friendly, small animal veterinary practice in Staffordshire. Our client, a well-established practice with over 30 years of history, prides itself on the exceptional service it provides. Located in a historical market town on the southern edge of the Peak District National Park, the practice is surrounded by the stunning scenery of the rugged countryside, including the impressive gritstone rock formations of The Roaches.

You will join a dedicated team, working alongside another vet, four Registered Veterinary Nurses, two receptionists, and one Veterinary Care Assistant in a relaxed and supportive environment. The team values both hard work and enjoyment in their roles, fostering a positive and fun workplace culture.

The practice is well-equipped with modern facilities including Idexx blood machines, Digital X-ray (including dental), Ultrasound, Multi-parameter monitors with Capnography, dedicated blood pressure equipment, and bronchoscopy, among others. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be encouraged to work up your own cases with the support available as needed. Collaborative case discussions are an integral part of the practice's ethos. The practice owner holds a postgraduate certificate in small animal dentistry and supports further development in areas of interest.

The ideal candidate will be confident in performing routine surgeries, including bitch spays, and ideally have experience with procedures such as cystotomies, enterotomies, and managing lower urinary tract obstructions. Excellent communication skills, along with a friendly and empathetic manner, are essential.

If you are an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a supportive team in a beautiful location, we would love to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a well-respected practice while enjoying a balanced and fulfilling work environment.
