An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, RCVS accredited small animal practice located in the beautiful town of Northampton. With its blend of vibrant town life and peaceful countryside, Northampton, situated in the East Midlands, is a desirable place to live. Its rich history, strong community, and excellent transport links to Birmingham and London make it a prime location for prospective homebuyers.
Our client, a well-respected practice that has been serving the Northampton area for many years, has grown to encompass three RCVS accredited sites. The main site has been awarded hospital status, and they are currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.
The practice's First Opinion team works closely with their referral Veterinary Surgeons, who hold certificates in a range of small animal disciplines. You will have the opportunity to work with clinical independence, utilising state-of-the-art facilities including an internal lab, in-house endoscopy, on-site CT, digital radiography, doppler ultrasonography, a purpose-built dental suite, and access to a mobile MRI service.
You will become part of a team of 13 Veterinary Surgeons (most of whom are certificate holders), 18 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses, 4 Kennel Assistants, and a Lab Technician. Their Referral Clinicians are RCVS Advanced Practitioners in Small Animal Surgery, Medicine, and Dentistry.
The ideal candidate will be an MRCVS-qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for delivering gold-standard animal care and exceptional service to a loyal client base. You should be confident in consulting, performing first opinion surgical procedures, and providing dedicated inpatient care. The practice supports ongoing professional development and is open to those interested in pursuing a certificate.

The Rota:
• Full time role - 40 hour week
• Both 4x10 hours and 5x8 hours patterns are available
• Saturday shift rota with TOIL
• No OOH or on-call
• Part time and flexi time applications both welcome
