Veterinary Surgeon - Shropshire

• Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a RCVS accredited small animal practice in the heart of Shropshire
• Certificate holders in Feline Medicine, Small Animal Medicine, Surgery and Nutrition
• No OOH
• Excellent salary up to £75,000
• Relocation allowance up to £5,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our client's friendly and supportive team on a full-time basis. With a history spanning over 100 years, our client operates two successful RCVS accredited small animal practices in charming market towns in Shropshire. Established in a picturesque rural setting, the practices are surrounded by opportunities for outdoor activities such as dog walking, horse riding, and mountain biking, while offering easy access to vibrant cities such as Birmingham, Manchester, and Liverpool, as well as the historic city of Chester and Shrewsbury.

Both practices are purpose-built with modern, spacious facilities including well-equipped consulting rooms, two operating theatres at each site, and advanced imaging suites featuring X-ray, Ultrasound, and Endoscopy equipment. The practice also offers laparoscopic bitch spay services, Tonopen, and comprehensive dental facilities.

The role involves a mix of surgical and medical responsibilities. As part of the team, the successful candidate will work alongside vets and nurses who hold certifications in Feline Medicine, Small Animal Medicine, Surgery, Nutrition, and Cardiology (currently in progress). With a full-time equivalent of 4.5 vets and 4.5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, the practice is well supported by an experienced reception team and excellent student nurses. Any special interests will be encouraged and supported, and the practice is committed to providing clinical freedom within a progressive and collaborative environment.

Our client is looking for a candidate who is confident and competent in independent consulting and routine surgeries, such as bitch spays. While a certificate holder is not essential, it is welcomed. If you are an experienced small animal vet seeking to work in a forward-thinking practice with a family feel, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
