A wonderful opportunity has arisen at a well-established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice nestled in the heart of a charming village in Hertfordshire. Our client has been a trusted provider of expert animal care to the local community since 1999, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and experience. The practice itself has a fascinating history, having once served as a police station, butcher, and office space before being transformed into a modern veterinary practice.
This is a forward-thinking, proactive practice with a loyal client base. In addition to its RCVS accreditation, the practice has achieved the IFSM's Silver Cat Friendly Status, reflecting its commitment to providing outstanding feline care. Our client is now seeking a veterinary surgeon who is confident with routine procedures and consultations to join their team. The role involves a balanced mix of consultations and surgeries, alongside dedicated time for administrative duties, ensuring you can provide the highest level of care to patients.
The practice operates with 15-minute routine appointments and extends to 30 minutes for more complex cases. They also offer several 30-minute slots each day for urgent and emergency cases to ensure that all patients receive the attention they need promptly. The environment is modern, spacious, and equipped with excellent facilities, including an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital X-ray, dental X-ray, capnography, and Tonovet.
You will be joining a close-knit team of five vets (4FTE), including an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine, supported by a talented and dedicated nursing team. The head nurse is a certificate holder in feline and canine veterinary health nutrition and has recently completed the ISFM certificate in Feline Nursing with distinction. The team is encouraged to make full use of their skills, and there is a strong emphasis on professional development and growth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated veterinary surgeon to join a well-respected practice in a picturesque Hertfordshire village. If you are looking to become part of a team that values exceptional standards of care and a supportive working environment, please get in touch to find out more about this exciting opportunity.
