Are you ready for your next move, with the clinical freedom to grow and develop as a veterinary surgeon? Our client in Windsor could have the perfect opportunity for you. Join a friendly, supportive, and independent practice that values collaboration and excellence in patient care.

Located in the royal town of Windsor, just a stone's throw from London, this well-established practice offers everything you need to elevate your career. You'll be part of a fantastic team of seven vets, including two certificate holders with diverse clinical expertise, creating a dynamic environment for open discussion and professional growth.

This practice has been a cornerstone of the Windsor community for over 120 years and was one of the first in the UK to achieve Veterinary Hospital status in the 1970s. As a truly independent practice, they take pride in delivering the highest standards of care and continuously investing in state-of-the-art equipment and treatments. Their independence allows them the flexibility to make decisions focused solely on the well-being of their patients and clients.

Over the years, the practice has grown to a group of three RCVS-accredited branches and has built a stellar reputation in the local area. The team is proud of their achievements, and their long-standing members-some with over 20 years of service-reflect the supportive and inclusive culture. Outside of work, the team enjoys strong camaraderie, often coming together socially.

The Windsor Hospital, where this role is primarily based, boasts exceptional facilities, including two fully equipped operating theatres (dedicated to soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries), an in-house laboratory, ultrasound, endoscopy, an advanced x-ray machine, and more. The practice's commitment to staying at the forefront of veterinary medicine ensures that you will always have access to the tools and support you need to provide top-tier care.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated first-opinion vet to join the team. The ideal candidate will be confident consulting, performing first-opinion surgical procedures, carrying out diagnostic investigations, and providing dedicated inpatient care. You will work across all three branches but will spend most of your time at the main Windsor Hospital.

This full-time role involves working four days a week with shifts starting at 8:30 am (or 8 am on surgery days) and finishing between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Once a week, you'll have a later shift ending at 9 pm, with a 1 pm start that day. The weekend rota is 1:5, with Saturday and Sunday morning consults and on-call duties until 5 pm, followed by a long weekend off. Importantly, there is no overnight on-call and no sole charge responsibility.

If you're excited by the prospect of working near the beautiful town of Windsor, in a semi-rural location offering green spaces for outdoor activities, easy access to London, and proximity to Heathrow Airport, then this could be your ideal next step.
