Join a leading veterinary team where your skills are valued, your growth is supported, and your work-life balance is respected.
A highly respected Tier 3 veterinary hospital in Leeds is looking for a confident and compassionate GP Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team. With over 40 years of trusted service to pet owners in West Yorkshire, this practice is known for its clinical excellence, collaborative culture, and genuine commitment to both patients and team members.
This is an exciting opportunity for a vet who enjoys variety in their caseload and thrives in a supportive environment. You’ll be confident across consults, diagnostics, and a mix of routine and non-routine surgeries, with the clinical freedom to make well-informed decisions and the backing of a knowledgeable, friendly team – including certificate holders and experienced RVNs.
The hospital itself is exceptionally well-equipped, with a full imaging suite (including ultrasound, onsite CT, and visiting MRI), four theatres, an ICU, dental suite with x-ray, in-house lab, and separate dog, cat, exotic, and day/long-stay wards. The practice also benefits from five satellite clinics, giving clients easy access to outstanding veterinary care.
You'll be based in the vibrant city of Leeds, with easy access to the scenic Peak District and historic York just under an hour away – perfect for exploring on your days off. The team puts a strong emphasis on work-life balance and maintaining a positive, inclusive working culture where everyone looks out for one another.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be RCVS-registered, confident in your clinical abilities, and someone who genuinely enjoys working as part of a team to provide the best possible care. A proactive and easy-going attitude, strong communication skills, and a client-focused mindset will ensure you fit right in.
