An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a bustling hospital in Liverpool. The hospital has been newly refurbished to a high standard and equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and a recently installed Ct scanner. This role offers an excellent work-life balance, with a schedule of 7 nights on followed by 21 nights off, allowing ample time for rest and rejuvenation while still contributing to a dynamic clinical team.
As a Night Vet, you will deliver exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures, while providing clients with clear and compassionate updates about their pets. Your commitment to professional excellence will ensure that you observe the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance, preparing tailored and accurate treatment plans for each patient with transparent cost estimates.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will play a key role in mentoring and developing your team, enhancing their skills and ensuring they are used to maximum effect. Clinical handovers and patient transfers will be handled seamlessly, ensuring continuity of care for those needing out-of-hours or enhanced treatment. You will also actively support and share clinical best practices, contributing to a progressive clinical culture that values teamwork and patient care above all.
To succeed in this role, you must be a RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with a proven track record of delivering outstanding patient and client care. Strong clinical leadership and experience in supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures are essential, along with the ability to coach and influence colleagues to bring out the best in your team.
