A busy, well-established small animal practice in the Manchester area is looking to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) to join its experienced and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Small Animal Vet / Veterinary Surgeon / Vet seeking a role in a modern, forward-thinking practice with strong clinical support and career development opportunities.
The practice provides advanced first-opinion services and includes a certificate holder in surgery and orthopaedics. Facilities include a newly built, purpose-designed orthopaedic theatre, enabling a high standard of surgical care.
With direct access to Manchester via the V1, this role offers an ideal balance between city living and a manageable commute.
The Role
The Veterinary Surgeon will take responsibility for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients, supporting clients, and working collaboratively with colleagues. The role involves a mix of consultations and surgery, with clinical freedom encouraged within a well-supported environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of patient care in consultations and surgery
- Diagnose and manage cases, creating tailored treatment plans
- Build strong relationships with clients through clear communication
- Maintain high levels of clinical governance and compliance
- Work collaboratively within a supportive veterinary team
About the Candidate
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS registered)
- Experience in small animal practice (all levels considered)
- Passion for high clinical standards and patient care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive, reliable, and committed to continuous development
