Manchester Area | £45,000 – £70,000 DOE + Benefits | Full-Time / Permanent

A busy, well-established small animal practice in the Manchester area is looking to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) to join its experienced and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Small Animal Vet / Veterinary Surgeon / Vet seeking a role in a modern, forward-thinking practice with strong clinical support and career development opportunities.

The practice provides advanced first-opinion services and includes a certificate holder in surgery and orthopaedics. Facilities include a newly built, purpose-designed orthopaedic theatre, enabling a high standard of surgical care.

With direct access to Manchester via the V1, this role offers an ideal balance between city living and a manageable commute.

The Role

The Veterinary Surgeon will take responsibility for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients, supporting clients, and working collaboratively with colleagues. The role involves a mix of consultations and surgery, with clinical freedom encouraged within a well-supported environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of patient care in consultations and surgery
  • Diagnose and manage cases, creating tailored treatment plans
  • Build strong relationships with clients through clear communication
  • Maintain high levels of clinical governance and compliance
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive veterinary team

About the Candidate

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS registered)
  • Experience in small animal practice (all levels considered)
  • Passion for high clinical standards and patient care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to continuous development

Salary & Benefits

Competitive Salary

  • £45,000 – £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
