Veterinary Surgeon - North West London
• Veterinary Surgeon role at a well-established animal charity in North West London
• Only a 35-hour week - Full time
• RCVS accredited practice with excellent facilities including x-ray and dental x-ray machines, ultrasounds, ECG, in-house lab, and two surgical suites
• Working alongside a group of professionals including a Head of Clinic, three skilled vet surgeons, a Head RVN, and dedicated RVNs
• Excellent salary up to £55,000 DOE

At their historic North West London shelter, they have been providing expert veterinary care and support to dogs and cats in need since 1925. Their clinic has been a beacon of hope for countless animals and their owners, offering low-cost interventions and clinical advice they wouldn't have access to otherwise.
Our client believes that every dog and cat in need deserves personalised care and affection. Their mission is to provide expert veterinary care, rescue and rehoming services, and community programs to improve the lives of animals and their human companions. In March 2022, they proudly started offering free preventative veterinary treatments to those who couldn't afford it elsewhere.
They are seeking a qualified veterinary surgeon who ideally has experience in shelter medicine however they are also open to new graduates with a keen interest in the charity sector. You should be confident in basic surgery, medicine, dentistry, and diagnostics. Your compassion and commitment to animal welfare should shine through in your work.
As part of their team of 80 staff and 150 volunteers, you will find yourself working in a modern and well-equipped practice with all the necessary tools at your disposal. Their facilities include x-ray and dental x-ray machines, ultrasounds, ECG, in-house lab, and two surgical suites.
As a member of the clinical team, you will collaborate with a passionate group of professionals, including a Head of Clinic, three skilled vet surgeons, a Head RVN, and dedicated RVNs. Together, you will make a tangible difference in the lives of animals and their human companions.
To succeed in this role, you must be a qualified veterinary surgeon registered with the RCVS and have experience working in a small animal practice in the UK. Your friendly, calm, and caring demeanour will be crucial in building trust with both the animals and their owners.

The Rota:
• Full time role - Part time applications will be considered
• 35 hour week either 9am - 5pm or 8am - 4pm, on a monthly rotation of Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday
• OOH on call rota
