Are you a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon looking for a new opportunity? This well-known and respected practice is seeking a motivated individual to join their friendly team. This is your chance to work with a collaborative group of professionals who value high standards in veterinary care.
Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, from consultations and routine surgeries to more complex procedures like enterotomies, cystotomies, and caesareans. You'll also have dedicated administrative time. The practice offers a diverse caseload and upholds high general practice standards.
This full-time position typically involves 4 days per week with a mix of early and late shifts (1-2 per week) and a 2-in-5 weekend rotation (with one Saturday-only weekend).
There is one duty night per week for inpatient care, but no out-of-hours work. They understand the importance of work-life balance, so they are open to part-time applicants and can adjust the rota to suit your needs.
They are located on the southwest London/Surrey border with easy access to London (25 minutes by train) and the A3 for quick trips out of the city. The clinic is equipped with three consulting rooms (soon to be four), a dedicated prep room and theatre, a separate dental area, and an x-ray/digital/dental ultrasound room. They also offer multiparameter anaesthetic monitors, bronchoscopy, and a full surgical kit. Plus, a separate cat and dog waiting rooms and kennels to reduce patient stress.
You will be joining a diverse team of 7 Vets, 9 Nurses, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants, and 9 Receptionists. The team has a range of interests, from surgery and emergencies to cardiology and ophthalmology. While they don't have any certificate holders, they encourage continuous professional development (CPD) and host regular clinical clubs for knowledge sharing and networking. Their supportive culture is designed to promote gold standard care, and they even run a popular local dog show each year.
