Junior Veterinary Surgeon – 24-Hour RCVS Accredited Hospital – Wimbledon

About the Hospital
Our client is a 24-hour, RCVS-accredited hospital nestled in the heart of charming Wimbledon, just a short 10-minute stroll from Wimbledon Junction station (District Line). This state-of-the-art facility provides a fantastic caseload ranging from routine GP work to emergency and critical care – perfect for building confidence and broadening your skillset.
Supporting its own client base as well as sister practices in the area, this hospital handles a variety of internal referrals and is equipped with everything you’d expect from a high-calibre centre, including CT Scanner, Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, In-house Lab, Laparoscopic spays and Dedicated surgical and imaging suites.
Specialist care is also on-site, with visiting orthopaedic & soft tissue surgeons, dermatologists, and physiotherapists, giving you the chance to work alongside and learn from industry experts.
The hospital holds RCVS Hospital Accreditation and an ISFM Silver Cat Friendly Award – a true testament to the quality of care provided.
The Role
This is a full-time, 42.2-hour week role with a varied, rotational schedule across departments – ideal for a vet looking to discover their clinical passion through real, hands-on experience.
Weekend work: 1 in 3 Saturdays and 1 in 10 Sundays
Bank holidays: Up to 2 per year
NO on-call or out-of-hours
You’ll be surrounded by a strong support network of experienced vets, a large team of RVNs and trainees, onsite clinical managers, and a regional head vet – all committed to helping you thrive.
About You
You’re an ambitious and compassionate vet who:
Has completed their VetGDP and/or a graduate scheme
Has some prior hospital experience
Is confident with routine surgeries
Is enthusiastic to continue developing and learning in a supportive hospital setting
Location
